Sunrise Red Rocks Engagement Session | Denver Wedding Photographer

It’s #weddingwednesday!

Happy New Year! I can still say that almost 2 weeks in right?!? One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to network more. I want to meet more people in the wedding and photography industries. I believe in community over competition. In this industry, when you work for yourself, you need those like minded individuals to drink wine with and talk about what it’s like to be a wedding photographer in a sea of other wedding photographers. Not only do they sympathize and understand, but they’ve been there. I resolve to get out there more in 2017.

With all that said, I am part of a group for female photographers in the Denver-area. I became part of the group about a year ago. I started putting myself out there for second shooting opportunities when I wasn’t already booked. I second shot for Rayna McGinnis Photography in May and then in the Fall she asked if I would shoot an engagement session for an out of town couple of hers since their schedules couldn’t quite sync up. I was flattered and took her up on the opportunity.

Meet Jess + Andrew they chose to have a sunrise Red Rocks engagement session and it was amazing!

We started by watching the sunrise from the amphitheatre.

I couldn't get over the light breaking over the horizon. We may have been right next to a parking lot, but we found a way to take advantage of the sun!

Afterwards, we tucked into Red Rocks Park and explored a bit while waiting for the sun to make its appearance over the gorgeous rock structures.

And then that sun broke through Red Rocks and it was perfect. Jess and Andrew continued to show off their amazing chemistry and comfort in front of the camera.

I have no doubt in my mind how much these two adore each other.
