As a Denver-based Wedding photographer I get the opportunity to shoot at many different types of venues. One of my new favorites is only 20 minutes from house, Spruce Mountain Ranch. Nicole + Andrew chose the ranch for their June wedding. Thinking back on their day, I don’t think it could have gone more smoothly. It was windy and Nicole’s veil tried to wreak havoc on her maid of honor, but that only made for a better toast during the reception. Nicole + Andrew met at graduate school at DU when a mutual friend introduced them.
“It just fit. Right from the beginning, there was no BS and we just knew.”
After meeting these two, I could see why. They really do compliment each other well. Their engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park last year just solidified what I had seen when I met them. If you haven’t seen that engagement session, you are missing out and should definitely check it out here.
Nicole + Andrew never seemed stress or overwhelmed on their wedding day. They were just excited to get married and celebrate with all of their friends and family that traveled near and far to be there for them. They made time for photos 3 times and I loved being able to split up their photo time and give them something different each time. We did photos after the ceremony, after toasts (sunset) and under the bistro lights during dancing. I loved being a part of their day and I am so excited to share some of my favorite images from their day!
