I am still attempting to catch up on 2018 weddings. Today, I am sharing with you Rachel + Manny’s August wedding at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colorado. These high school sweethearts planned a wedding around the beauty of Colorado. Their nuptials featured wildflower bouquets, an outdoor ceremony backing to Gore Creek, and a reception in a modern alpine lodge. To learn more about their love story, check out their Golden, Colorado engagement session.
Rachel + Manny planned the first look in an empty field mountainside with an aspen grove and views of Vail. This first look was so sweet and one of my faves. The way they looked at one another was priceless. We were joined by their wedding party a little while later and knocked out most of their photos before the ceremony started.
Their ceremony included a very special ring bearer, their German Shepard, Zuma. Rachel and Manny chose a non-traditional unity symbol by planting a tree that they later transplanted to a forest. They shared personal vows that were thoughtful and emotional. I don’t think there was a dry eye after listening to them.
A reception followed with Rachel + Manny visiting every table to thank them for coming and sharing their special day. Afterward, toasts were given by the best man and maid of honor where they both shared personal stories and well wished for the bride and groom. The night was rounded out with everyone dancing.
I can’t thank Rachel + Manny enough for choosing me to be their wedding photographer. They made me feel like more than just a vendor and I loved being a part of their day! Congratulations, you two! I wish you all the best as you take on this new journey!
